Hadithi is a slow fashion brand born in Nairobi, Kenya.
Our brand began with a simple belief - that clothing should mean something. What we wear should carry a story, shaped by intention, held in memory, and made with care.
Each piece is born from stories of heritage, which honor craftsmanship, the hands that bring life to it, creating timeless & conscious garments.
Our collections are produced in small batches, slowly and thoughtfully, using traditional techniques to create pieces with meaningful designs that are seasonless, versatile, and made to last.
OUR STORY
Hadithi means "STORY" in Swahili.
In the lands where the sun remembers every harvest, we have always known this simple truth: nothing of true value can be rushed.
Before our fabric gets to you, it is already blessed with a rich Hadithi. The fibre begins its journey, spun to make a singular uzi– a thread. It travels slowly, absorbing the wisdom of the artisans who weave not just a thread, but purpose.
When you reach for our clothing, you hold more than a garment. You hold a story, one shaped by heritage, patience, and craft.
What we create is only the beginning. The story continues with you.
WHY WE EXIST
Our collections are made for the mindful.
We believe Kenya is rich in skill, culture, and resources. By working locally and Sustainably, we are celebrating heritage, empowering local artisans, and creating clothing that respects both people and the planet.
MATERIALS & CRAFTMANSHIP
We work with natural fibres and locally sourced fabrics, 100% cotton. Each material is carefully chosen for its, quality, character and connection to place. Every piece is constructed in Kenya by skilled artisans. Created with patience and care, each garment carries the soul of the maker — a tribute to time, craftsmanship, and conscious creation.
Our production is carried out in small intentional runs, allowing us to maintain quality, craftsmanship, and purpose.
DESIGN AND PROCESS
At Hadithi, designs move beyond seasons and trends. We create timeless silhouettes made to be worn, styled, and lived in for years to come. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to balance simplicity, versatility, and quiet elegance.
Our inspiration comes from stories of heritage, landscape, craft, and everyday life. These narratives shape the form, textures, and details of our garments, allowing each piece to carry a meaning.
Our process embraces traditional techniques. Slow and intentional, deeply rooted in generations of knowledge to create pieces that will move gently through time with you, providing quality and comfort.
Handloom Weaving
Our fabrics are woven by hand on traditional wooden looms, where each thread is guided through rhythm, precision and experience. A slow process that honours heritage, patience and storytelling.
Screen Printing
Our designs are brought to life by hand using organic dyes. Each step of the process is carried out slowly and carefully by skilled artisans, giving every piece a unique character.
