ABOUT Asili Collection

Hadithi is thrilled to present Asili (“essence” in Swahili), a collection inspired by the beauty of Nairobi, a city where architecture rises gently from expansive greens. Looking across the city, we see flyovers stretching into the distance, matatus circling the roundabout, and the architectural lines and curves of Nairobi’s iconic buildings. All held in quiet balance by the surrounding greenery. 


Each piece is named in Swahili, reflecting both place and meaning. The collection draws from the rhythm of the city- its flow, its clean rising lines, its intersections, curves, wraps, and nature.


The collection echoes our heritage through designs that are intentional and grounded; structured yet living, modern yet rooted. With light, breathable, and versatile silhouettes, the collection captures quiet, timeless elegance inspired by the essence of Nairobi city.
